South Korean model-turned-actor Hoyeon gained international recognition and widespread critical acclaim following the global success of the Netflix original series, Squid Game, in which she played the captivating role of Kan Sae-byeok, also known as Player 067. For her exceptional performance on the show, Hoyeon received the esteemed Screen Actors Guild award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series and was also nominated for the prestigious Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series.
Hailing from the suburb of Seoul, Myeonmok-dong, Hoyeon embarked on her career as a freelance model in 2011, walking the runway at Seoul Fashion Week.
