Katherine Gauthier is a multifaceted artist, boasting a successful career in both theatre and film. Her extensive experience has seen her take the stage at some of the country's most esteemed institutions, including the renowned Shaw Festival, the Grand Theatre, Arts Club Theatre, Théâtre La Seizième, and over a dozen productions at the critically acclaimed Soulpepper Theatre.
As a graduate of the prestigious Soulpepper Theatre Academy in Toronto, Katherine has had the privilege of playing leading roles in a diverse range of productions. Her impressive credits include "Marat-Sade", "Macbeth", "The Just", "You Still Can't Take it With You", "Tough", "Matt and Ben", "Children's Hour", "King Lear", "Godspell", and "100 Saints You Should Know". Her standout performance as Nora in Ibsen's "A Doll's House" was particularly noteworthy, earning a spot on the Globe and Mail's Top 10 productions list.
Katherine's talent has been recognized with numerous award nominations, including three Dora Awards for Outstanding Performance, one My Entertainment World Award nomination for Outstanding Performance Female, a CAC Award nomination for Outstanding Performance Lead, and two Jessie Awards for Outstanding Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role.
As a writer, Katherine has honed her craft through the Write From The Hip program at Nightwood Theatre and is currently Theatrefront's Playwright-In-Residence.
