Biography

Kathy's early life unfolded in the Vancouver BC area, where she graduated from North Delta Sr. Secondary school. Her foray into the stunt world began at the tender age of 15, when she landed a role on The Stepfather, playing a girl who was relentlessly bullied and physically assaulted at school. This opportunity arose due to her impressive Judo background, which had earned her multiple-time Canadian Champion status, allowing her to take a few knocks to the ground. Throughout her teenage years, Kathy continued to dabble in stunts, simultaneously traveling the world and competing with Team Canada. However, she ultimately decided to step away from Judo, just prior to the '92 Olympics, and dedicate herself full-time to stunt-work. Her big break came when she landed a key role in Rumble in the Bronx alongside Jackie Chan. This role was secured due to her extensive motorcycle racing background, and the blockbuster's release catapulted her career forward. The film's most memorable scene featured Kathy riding a motocross bike over 20 cars, setting the stage for her subsequent success. Over the years, Kathy has enjoyed a long and storied career in the stunt industry, and has recently returned to her roots, having recently won the Judo Masters World Championships and Brazilian Jiu-jitsu Masters World Championships. In addition to her stunt work, Kathy has also taken on the role of Stunt Coordinator for numerous productions, many of which have been filmed in her current hometown of Kelowna, BC.
