Kevin Cummins, a renowned British photographer, was born in Manchester, England. With a profound passion for capturing the essence of rock bands and musicians, his iconic photographs have left an indelible mark on the music industry. His impressive portfolio boasts portraits of legendary artists such as David Bowie, Mick Jagger, Courtney Love, Patti Smith, Marc Bolan, Ian Curtis, Thomas Dolby, Michael Hutchence, Róisín Murphy, Morrissey, R.E.M., George Clinton, U2, Foo Fighters, The Clash, Buzzcocks, Sex Pistols, Joy Division, Oasis, Manic Street Preachers, and The Stone Roses, among many others.
After completing his photography studies in Salford for four years, Cummins began his career photographing rock bands in the mid-1970s in Manchester. His talent and dedication eventually led him to relocate to London in 1987, where he has since contributed to numerous prominent UK publications, including The Big Issue, Elle, Esquire, FourFourTwo, The Guardian, Maxim, Mojo, The Observer, Sleaze Nation, The Times, and Vogue.
