Kevin Farley, a multifaceted actor, writer, and director, has established himself as a comedic presence in both the film and television industries.
Born in Madison, Wisconsin, Kevin is the son of Mary Anne (Crosby) and Thomas Farley, who owned an oil company. His family consists of his siblings, including actors John Farley and the late Chris Farley, as well as his two other brothers and sisters, Barb and Tom Jr. His cousin is James Duncan Farley Jr., CEO of Ford Motor Company.
Kevin majored in Business at Marquette University in Milwaukee and after graduation, he worked for his father's company, Scotch Oil, for six years. However, his brother Chris convinced him to pursue a career in show business, and Kevin began his journey by taking the stage at the Chicago ImprovOlympic.
Kevin eventually moved to Chicago and studied at the renowned Second City. Upon relocating to Los Angeles, he began landing roles in films such as Tommy Boy and Black Sheep. He then secured a starring role as "Doug Linus" on MTV's sitcom 2gether, which received rave reviews.
Kevin's subsequent appearances in numerous TV series programs, including That '70s Show, 3rd Rock from the Sun, Joey, Just Shoot Me, Curb Your Enthusiasm, and many more, solidified his position as a talented comedic actor. When he transitioned to feature films, his focus remained on comedy, with notable roles in Eight Crazy Nights, The Waterboy, Dirty Work, and Johnson Family Vacation, among others.
In 2008, Kevin starred in the lead role of An American Carol, playing a cynical, anti-American "Hollywood" filmmaker who embarks on a crusade to abolish the 4th of July holiday. The comedy film, directed by David Zucker, is a parody of liberal filmmaker Michael Moore and lampoons contemporary American culture, particularly Hollywood.
Kevin also co-wrote, directed, and starred in Hollywood Wine, alongside a talented cast including Chazz Palminteri, Chris Kattan, David Spade, Norm MacDonald, and Jeremy London.
With his infectious sense of humor, both on and off screen, Kevin Farley is a master of multi-tasking, effortlessly juggling his various roles with ease. He currently resides in New York.
