Kevin Light, a native of Woodstock, New York, has spent the last two decades residing on the West Coast. Following a brief stint at the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado, he relocated to Gainesville, Florida, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. Subsequent postgraduate employment with Hughes Aircraft led him to California, where he pursued a graduate degree in Electrical Engineering at the University of Southern California.
Despite ascending the corporate ladder at Hughes, Kevin felt an internal, unassuming voice urging him to explore his creative side. His desire to become an actor eventually took precedence over his engineering career.
A fortunate turn of events enabled Kevin to study under the tutelage of the legendary Sanford Meisner, a co-founder of the Group Theater and a demanding yet effective instructor. This marked the beginning of Kevin's journey in television and film.
Although he continued to enjoy acting, Kevin discovered a profound connection with yoga, which led him to pursue a deeper understanding of the ancient discipline of body and mind. He eventually became a yoga teacher.
Throughout his journey, Kevin has been drawn to various forms of creative expression, including the arts, architecture, yoga, and Eastern spirituality. The years he spent studying and teaching yoga have greatly enriched his acting experience. Kevin is the founder of Bhakti Ware, a yoga clothing company that embodies his passion for the practice.
