Born and raised in the vibrant city of San Antonio, Texas, Connolly's passion for acting was ignited during his high school days at Robert E. Lee High School. This early spark led him to pursue higher education, where he was accepted into the prestigious Incarnate Word College in the fall of 1992. He went on to earn his Bachelor of Theatre Arts degree from the University of the Incarnate Word in 1997, laying the foundation for a successful career in the performing arts.
Continuing his academic journey, Connolly enrolled in UCLA's esteemed Master of Theatre Arts program in 1998. After four years of rigorous study, he graduated in 2001, coinciding with the union writers' strike that same year. This pivotal moment marked a turning point in his career, as he began to explore new opportunities in the entertainment industry.
In 2004, Connolly made the move to Dallas, marking the beginning of a new chapter in his life. He discovered a new passion for voice-over work, kickstarting his career as a voice artist. His first notable role was as Harley Hartwell in Funimation's English version of the popular anime series "Case Closed". Since then, he has lent his voice to numerous characters, including the notable role of Kain Feury in "FullMetal Alchemist".
