Biography

Kevin Michael Kennedy, also known as K.M.K., was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. His musical journey began at the tender age of nine, when he started singing in church and studying music. This early exposure to music allowed him to develop a passion for performing, and he soon had the opportunity to study the violin. By the time he was ten years old, Kevin had already performed in his first public recital, a remarkable achievement that marked the beginning of his musical career.

As he continued to hone his skills, Kevin expanded his musical repertoire to include the cello and clarinet. His hard work and dedication paid off when he made his professional debut at the prestigious Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center, at the age of fourteen. This milestone performance catapulted Kevin into the spotlight, and he soon found himself auditioning for the Teens Unlimited Repertory Company. He successfully landed a spot with the company and went on to book his first national television commercial and print ad for a Teens Against Drunk Driving campaign.

Throughout his career, Kevin has made a name for himself as a versatile vocalist, performing in national tours, concerts, regional theater, recordings, and as a backup vocalist for several notable recording artists, including the legendary Diana Ross. In 2007, he returned to Lincoln Center to perform in their production of Cendrillon, a testament to his enduring talent and dedication to his craft.

As a songwriter, Kevin has made significant contributions to the music world. He is the writer and composer of the song "He's the Man" - The Obama Song, which was written for the 2012 Obama Presidential Campaign. Kevin is also one of the co-founders of the R&B cover band The Jewel Tones and the founder of The K.M.K. Union Gospel Choir, which made its national television debut on the final episode of the popular TV show 30 Rock, starring Alec Baldwin.

In addition to his work in music, Kevin is also the creator, co-writer, and executive producer of the web series Cornerstone.
