The remarkable life of a talented African American actor, who attended Penn Hills High School in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where he initially stood at 6' 5" during his junior year, only to reach an astonishing 6' 9" by the end of it. His impressive basketball skills earned him a scholarship, and he averaged an impressive 18 points per game and 10 rebounds, showcasing his exceptional athleticism.
During his college years at George Washington University in Washington, D.C., he pursued his passion for Theatrical Arts, while also playing basketball, albeit not when it conflicted with his academic commitments. It was during this time that he met Jay Fenichel, with whom he would later collaborate on various musical productions.
Upon graduating, Fenichel relocated to Los Angeles, while the actor moved to Venezuela to focus on his basketball career. However, after a year, he lost interest in playing professionally and returned to Los Angeles, where he reunited with Fenichel to develop two night-club acts/musicals. One of these productions was a semi-autobiographical two-man musical titled "In Five," while the other was a two-man show called "The Worst of Friends," both of which were performed in various nightclubs throughout the LA area.
In addition to his musical endeavors, the duo also ran a promotional business, creating engaging acts for department stores to promote new products. Their partnership was a testament to their creativity and entrepreneurial spirits.
The actor's professional journey continued when he landed a role on the popular television series "227" in 1985, where he met his future wife, Alaina Reed-Hall, who played the character Rose Lee Holloway. They not only shared on-screen chemistry but also tied the knot in real life, both on and off the set.
Tragedy struck when the actor was diagnosed with AIDS, which he contracted through a blood transfusion a few months prior. He passed away in April 1991, leaving behind a legacy of his remarkable talents and a loving family.
