Kim Rossi Stuart, born on October 31st, 1969, in Rome, Lazio, Italy, began his acting career at the tender age of five alongside his father Giacomo Rossi Stuart in the 1974 film The Murri Affair. His mother, Klara Müller, was a former top model, and Kim has three sisters, two of whom, Loretta Rossi Stuart and Valentina Rossi Stuart, are also actresses, with Valentina also working as a stunt-woman. His third sister, Ombretta, rounds out the family's creative trio.
Kim left his parental home at the age of 14 in 1983 and ceased his formal education to pursue a career in theater, eventually making his way to television and film productions in 1986. He appeared in notable projects such as Fantaghirò in 1991 and The Name of the Rose in 1986, but it was his roles in Karate Warrior in 1987 and Poliziotti in 1995 that brought him widespread recognition.
Following the success of Karate Warrior, Kim shifted his focus to more critically acclaimed films, including Senza pelle in 1994, where he portrayed a character struggling with psychological issues, earning praise from critics. He then collaborated with the renowned director Michelangelo Antonioni on Beyond the Clouds in 1995 and appeared in the international television production The Red and the Black in 1997.
In recent years, Kim has returned to his theater roots, performing in productions such as "Re Lear," a tragedy by William Shakespeare, alongside notable Italian actors like Turi Ferro in the opera "Le visiteur," a comedy by Eric-Emmanuel Schmitt, which was adapted into the film Il visitatore in 1997, also featuring Kim and Turi.
On November 26th, 2011, at the age of 42, Kim welcomed his first child, a son named Ettore, with his girlfriend Ilaria Spada, whom he had been dating for only a few months prior. The couple has announced their plans to tie the knot in the summer of 2015.
