Krista Errickson is an American actress and journalist who began her professional career as an actress in 1978 and continued until 1992. She is a lifetime member of the Actors Studio and is best known for her breakout role in the 1980 movie Little Darlings and her starring role in the 1992 film Mortal Passions, for which she won numerous acting awards.
As a journalist, Errickson worked for RAI's Channel 1 and the first Italian private radio station, before becoming a host for RAI International and RAISAT. She won the Best Emerging Young Journalist award in 1995 and went on to become a senior producer and journalist, reporting on current events and international politics, with a focus on Middle East relations.
Errickson has worked as a producer and journalist for several major networks, including CBS and Discovery, and has produced several award-winning documentaries. She has also worked as an intelligence analyst at a Washington, DC think tank and has been involved in several high-profile negotiations and rescues, including the release of a kidnapped Italian journalist from the Taliban and the escape of a political prisoner from a Teheran jail.
As a freelance journalist, Errickson is the president of Free Verse Productions, which develops and produces documentaries and news programs. She is also a contributing writer to Italy's La Repubblica and has written several books, including an award-winning book about her documentary, Inside the Hezbollah.
Errickson holds a B.A. in Political Science and a master's degree in Islamic Studies from the University of Wales at Lampeter. She is married to the journalist and Deputy Director of RAI International Piero Di Pasquale and is a member of several professional organizations, including the International Press Association, the Foreign Press Association, and the Committee to Protect Journalists.
Krista Errickson is also the granddaughter of the famous Broadway set designer Jo Mielziner and the goddaughter of the late Elia Kazan, a legendary American film and theatre director.
