Kurt Yaeger is a highly esteemed member of the SAG/AFTRA committee Performers with Disabilities, tirelessly advocating for the inclusion of actors with disabilities in roles not specifically designated for characters with disabilities. This dedication stems from his own experiences as a professional athlete and his desire to break down barriers in the entertainment industry.
Prior to his acting career, Yaeger was a former professional X Games athlete, making history as the first amputee to participate in the X Games and the first amputee to successfully perform a backflip. His passion for extreme sports did not waver despite the loss of his leg, and he continues to ride to this day. In fact, he has maintained an impressive level of athleticism, which allows him to take on any role without restriction.
Yaeger's athletic accomplishments are a testament to his determination and resilience. He has completed numerous grueling challenges, including running up the Empire State Building in a remarkable 20 minutes and 19 seconds, completing multiple 55-mile triathlons, and competing in adventure challenges against able-bodied athletes, where he has emerged victorious.
When he's not pushing his physical limits, Yaeger can be found exploring the world on his motorcycles. As an amputee, he has hosted the BMW GS Trophy Challenge for several years and has ridden motorcycles off-road in various countries, including Thailand, Madagascar, the Canadian Rockies, South Africa, Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Europe, and the United States. He collaborates with several motorcycle manufacturers and companies to create motorcycle-related content, further solidifying his reputation as a true thrill-seeker.
