Kyle Dean Massey is a renowned American actor, best recognized for his impressive work on Broadway in productions such as Pippin, Next to Normal, Wicked, Xanadu, and Altar Boyz.
Born and raised in Jonesboro, Arkansas, a charming town situated approximately 60 miles northwest of Memphis, Tennessee, Kyle Dean's early life was filled with a strong passion for the performing arts. At the tender age of six, he began taking dance classes after being inspired by his older sister's performance in a local production of The Nutcracker.
Throughout his adolescent years, Kyle Dean spent most of his time singing in school choirs and studying the piano. However, it wasn't until his sophomore year of high school that he made his debut in a musical. Since then, he has performed in an astonishing 60 productions, solidifying his reputation as a talented and dedicated actor.
In addition to his extensive stage work, Kyle Dean has also made appearances on television shows such as Up All Night (NBC),Hart of Dixie (CW),Cupid (ABC),Sex and the City 2 (HBO Films),and the upcoming film The Contest. His television credits also include performances on Good Morning America, The CBS Early Show, Regis & Kelly, and The 62nd Annual Tony Awards.
During his time starring in Next to Normal, Kyle Dean created and starred in his own popular web-blog series, Normal Life, on Broadway.com. When not performing eight shows a week, Kyle Dean dedicates his time to sharing his expertise as a master class instructor and panel contributor for several organizations, including Camp Broadway, Broadway Artists Alliance, Broadway Connection, VIP Tours of New York, and the Missouri Fine Arts Academy.
A passionate advocate for various social causes, Kyle Dean is a strong supporter of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, The Trevor Project, and several human rights groups. He frequently performs in charity concerts at esteemed venues across New York City, including Joe's Pub, Ars Nova, and The Laurie Beechman Theatre.
