His outstanding work in these productions earned him the Outstanding Newcomer award at the Evening Standard Theatre Awards in 2011.
The following year, Kyle received an Olivier Award nomination for his performance in Anthony Page's 2012 production of Long Day's Journey Into Night. In 2017, he starred in Patrick Marber's Hedda Gabler opposite Ruth Wilson at the National Theatre, marking Ivo Van Hove's directorial debut for the National Theatre.
