Kym Karath embarked on her acting journey at the tender age of three, making her screen debut in Spencer's Mountain (1963) alongside Hollywood legends Henry Fonda and Maureen O'Hara. This was swiftly followed by appearances in The Thrill of It All (1963) alongside Doris Day and James Garner, and Good Neighbor Sam (1964) with the incomparable Jack Lemmon.
Her breakthrough role came when she won the part of "Gretl", the youngest Von Trapp daughter, in the iconic musical film The Sound of Music (1965). Following this, Kym continued to hone her craft, appearing in a diverse range of television shows, including Dr. Kildare (1961),Lassie (1954),My Three Sons (1960),Lost in Space (1965),Family Affair (1966),and The Brady Bunch (1969).
As her career progressed, Kym took a hiatus to focus on her education, graduating from the University of Southern California with a degree in Humanities. She subsequently made television appearances in shows such as Archie Bunker's Place (1979) and Midnight Offerings (1981),before relocating to Paris to pursue a career in modeling and study art history.
After returning to the United States, Kym appeared in various print ads and the soap opera All My Children (1970),before dedicating herself to raising her son, Eric. Now, Kym has resumed her acting career in Los Angeles, California, and is eager to share her talents with audiences once more.
