Larry Geller, a renowned hairstylist, began his career by working with Jay Sebring, a celebrated men's hairstylist and cultural innovator in the United States.
Together, they opened the first men's styling salon in the country, catering to an impressive clientele that included Frank Sinatra, Paul Newman, Steve McQueen, Peter Sellers, Roy Orbison, Sam Cook, and Marlon Brando, among many other top Hollywood celebrities.
On April 30, 1964, Larry received a life-changing phone call, inviting him to style the hair of the one and only Elvis Presley at his home. This marked the beginning of a close friendship and professional partnership that would last for many years.
Larry remained Elvis' personal hairstylist, working on ten of his movies and hundreds of concert appearances across the country. Tragically, he was also tasked with preparing Elvis' hair for his funeral in 1977.
Larry's unique relationship with Elvis has been extensively documented in books, television and radio interviews, newspaper and magazine articles, and documentaries.
In addition to his work with entertainment celebrities, Larry has also been acquainted with pioneers in the field of health and healing, including Gypsy Boots and Jack LaLanne.
Larry and his wife Shira frequently travel to Graceland and other parts of the world, where Larry is a featured speaker at events commemorating Elvis Presley.
As an author, Larry has written two books, "If I Can Dream" (Simon & Schuster, 1989) and "Leaves of Elvis' Garden" (Bell Rock Publishing, 2008),which offer a candid and intimate portrayal of Elvis Presley's life.
Larry is currently working on his forthcoming book, "Healthy Life, Great Looks, Healthy Hair," and is developing a holistic, natural/organic hair and beauty care system, which is set to be launched in 2017.
