Laurel started her professional career at the tender age of ten, when she joined the talented cast of the Bay Area television show, "Just Kidding". Throughout her formative years, she honed her acting skills by taking on diverse roles in both musicals and dramatic productions on various stages. Her extensive experience at numerous equity houses includes memorable performances in productions such as "The Miracle Worker" at SJ Rep, where she brought Helen Keller to life, and the West Coast premiere of "To Gillian on her 37th Birthday" at SJ Rep, in which she played the role of Rachel. Additionally, her work at The Old Globe included a captivating performance as Agatha Wylie in "Smash". Beyond her numerous film and television credits, Laurel is also a talented filmmaker, having written, produced, and starred in her short film, "Call Waiting", which won "Best Short" at the Arizona International Film Festival and received recognition at several other prestigious festivals. Her impressive resume also includes work with LA Theatreworks, where she had the opportunity to share the stage with acclaimed actors such as Richard Dreyfuss, Alfred Molina, and Jack Black in productions like "The Lion in Winter", "The General from America", and "The Lucky Spot". Furthermore, Laurel is a proud member of several award-winning theater companies in Los Angeles, including an all-female Shakespeare Company. Prior to her successful acting career, Laurel Moglen attended the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA),where she majored in history, with a focus on the 19th century American West.
