Laurice Guillen, a Filipino actress and director of exceptional versatility, was brought into this world on the thirty-first day of January, nineteen hundred and forty-seven. Prior to embarking on her illustrious career, she initiated her academic pursuits at St. Theresa's College, a prestigious institution located in the vibrant city of Cebu. Subsequently, Guillen's thirst for knowledge led her to pursue a Master's degree in Mass Communication at the esteemed Ateneo de Manila University. In a remarkable display of dedication and perseverance, she further refined her skills by enrolling in a television production course under the expert guidance of the renowned Nestor Torre in the year nineteen hundred and sixty-seven.

Noted Filipino actress, Ms. Rita Gomez Guillen, began her illustrious acting career on the stage, captivating audiences with her performances in esteemed productions such as Mrs. Warren's Profession. As her talent and reputation grew, she transitioned seamlessly into the world of film and television, earning recognition for her captivating portrayal of a seductress in the critically acclaimed "Tinimbang Ka Ngunit Kulang". Her impressive resume also boasts a powerful performance as the esteemed Corazon Aquino in the drama "A Dangerous Life". After undergoing a profound spiritual rebirth, the renowned filmmaker, Laurice Guillen, redirected her energies towards the Marian movement, embarking on a series of pilgrimages to various churches and cathedrals scattered throughout the Philippines, accompanied by her husband.

Despite her newfound devotion, Guillen's creative spark was reignited by the enthusiastic reception of her film, Ipagpatawad Mo, by a group of priests who urged her to revive her directorial career. Furthermore, her appearance on the popular talk show hosted by the charismatic Kris Aquino served as a catalyst, ultimately prompting Guillen to make the momentous decision to resume her work in the film industry.
