Lily Mariye is a highly accomplished and versatile artist, having earned numerous accolades as an actress, dancer, singer, and director. She initially gained recognition for her role as Nurse Lily Jarvik on the long-running medical drama ER, a position she held for its entire 15-season duration. However, her professional journey began when she was discovered by agent Joan Scott in the LA stage production of Elizabeth Swados' musical, Runaways.
Throughout her illustrious career, Mariye has directed a wide range of projects, including episodes of popular TV shows such as The Walking Dead, The Good Fight, The Terror: Infamy, Prodigal Son, Godfather of Harlem, NCIS: Los Angeles, Chicago PD, Criminal Minds, Nashville, and Partner Track. Her feature film debut, Model Minority, marked a significant milestone in her directorial career.
In addition to her work in the entertainment industry, Mariye is actively involved in the Directors Guild of America (DGA). She has been elected as an Alternate Board Member and has served on various committees, including the DGA PAC Leadership Council and the Special Projects Committee.
