Lisa Freeman's journey as an actor has been marked by numerous appearances in television productions and films, including notable roles in Mr. Mom and Back to the Future I & II, among others. Her experiences on stage, particularly at the iconic Comedy Store, ultimately led to a transition into writing for radio and spoken word.
Freeman's academic background is equally impressive, with a Bachelor of Arts in liberal studies and creative writing, as well as a Master of Fine Arts in fiction, all earned from Antioch University. Additionally, she holds a certificate in pedagogy in writing, further solidifying her expertise in the field.
Freeman's debut novel, Honey Girl, is a semi-autobiographical work inspired by her experiences growing up in the Los Angeles region. Scheduled for release in March 2015, Honey Girl is a nostalgic reflection of a bygone era, one that Freeman fondly remembers as a time when she was a carefree young woman, with a tan complexion before the widespread use of sunscreen, a penchant for drinking Tab by the six-pack, and a habit of smoking Lark 100s cigarettes.
