Lisa Gerritsen's illustrious acting career spanned an impressive duration of nearly a decade, from 1968 to around 1977. Her journey in the world of acting began at a tender age of eight, when she was introduced to the craft through a local summer parks department production. Encouraged by her mother and grandfather, a veteran screenwriter, True Boardman, Lisa persevered through the inevitable disappointments of numerous casting calls until she landed her first professional role in an episode of The Doris Day Show in 1968.
Lisa's subsequent career was marked by a string of guest appearances in various TV shows, including Bonanza, The Courtship of Eddie's Father, The Virginian, and Family Affair, to name just a few. Her impressive resume also boasts several episodes of Gunsmoke, one of which led to her securing a regular role in the 1969 NBC comedy series, My World and Welcome to It, starring William Windom and Joan Hotchkis.
In 1970, Lisa landed her most notable role to date, "Bess Lindstrom", on The Mary Tyler Moore Show, appearing in a total of ten episodes between 1970 and 1975. She went on to reprise this role as a regular in the 1975-1977 spin-off series, Phyllis. In addition to her numerous TV appearances, Lisa also made a mark in the world of cinema, making her big-screen debut in Airport (1970),playing the role of Burt Lancaster's daughter, "Libby Bakersfeld".
Her most memorable movie role was as "Linda" in The War Between Men and Women (1972),starring Jack Lemmon and Barbara Harris. Lisa also starred in several other notable movies, including A Howling in the Woods (1971),Locusts (1974),and Mixed Company (1974).
