Lisa Roumain was born in Puerto Rico to a multicultural family with Italian, Haitian, and Scottish roots. Her father, a civil engineer, and her mother, a teacher, instilled in her a strong sense of values and a passion for learning. As the eldest of three siblings, Lisa grew up in Parkland, Florida, where she developed a love for the arts, particularly dancing, painting, writing, and drawing. Her educational background is rooted in interior architecture, having earned a Bachelor's of Design from the University of Florida.
However, after completing her degree, Lisa decided to pursue her dream of becoming an actress. She began modeling and studying acting in Miami, and her hard work paid off when she landed her first role on the film "Jersey Girl." She went on to appear in independent films like "Go For It!" and later joined the cast of James Cameron's groundbreaking film "Avatar." Lisa was part of the exclusive Performance Capture Troupe, using her versatility to play multiple characters daily and becoming a part of movie-making history.
Lisa's personal life is just as vibrant as her professional one. She is passionate about healthy cooking, home renovation, and spending time with her loving family. Her husband, Greg, is an architect and tri-athlete, and they have two young daughters who are following in their mother's footsteps. The eldest is a singer and actress, while the youngest aspires to be a doctor and ballerina. Rounding out the family are their two beloved pets, a 120-pound Great Pyrenees named Moby and a kitty named Eloise at the Plaza.
