Born and raised in the vibrant city of Houston, Texas, Liz has been dedicated to a life-long pursuit of acting since her first grade teacher prophetically declared her a "born performer", sparking a lifelong passion for the craft. This pivotal moment marked the beginning of her arduous yet rewarding journey to hone her skills through extensive experience in the industry and a robust theater education.
Her academic background boasts a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the esteemed University of Evansville, an institution that has also nurtured the talents of notable alumni such as Rami Malek, Kelli Giddish, Rutina Wesley, Carrie Preston, and Jack McBrayer. Following her undergraduate studies, Liz pursued a Master of Fine Arts degree at the University of California, San Diego, where she notably portrayed Sir Toby Belch in a production of Twelfth Night.
Subsequent to completing her graduate studies, Liz relocated to the entertainment capital of Los Angeles, where she has continued to refine her craft by studying sketch and improv at both The Groundlings School and the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre. Currently, Liz can be seen playing the role of Principal Biggs on the widely acclaimed and award-winning ABC comedy series Black-ish.
In her personal life, Liz resides in Los Angeles with her partner and their adorable Shih Poo, Maeby, who undoubtedly brings joy and companionship to her daily life.
