Liz, a native of Houston, Texas, has been driven to pursue a career in acting since her first-grade teacher prophetically dubbed her a "born performer". This pivotal moment sparked a lifelong passion for the craft, which she has honed through extensive industry experience and a solid foundation in theater education. Liz's academic journey commenced with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Evansville, a prestigious institution that has also produced notable alumni such as Rami Malek, Kelli Giddish, Rutina Wesley, Carrie Preston, and Jack McBrayer.
Following her undergraduate studies, Liz further refined her skills with a Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of California, San Diego. One of her most notable performances during this period was her portrayal of Sir Toby Belch in William Shakespeare's Twelfth Night. Upon completing her graduate studies, Liz relocated to Los Angeles, where she has continued to develop her craft through the study of sketch and improv at renowned institutions such as The Groundlings School and the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre.
Today, Liz can be seen playing the role of Principal Biggs on the highly acclaimed and award-winning ABC comedy series Black-ish. When not working on set, Liz resides in Los Angeles with her partner and their lovable Shih Poo, Maeby.
