Logan Fry, a graduate of Oberlin College, is a talented trashfilm director and actor residing in Richfield, Ohio.
Born William Logan Fry in Columbus, Ohio in September 1944, he is the son of a Federal Administrative Law Judge and an elementary school teacher. Logan graduated from Oberlin in 1967 and Case Western University Law School in 1970, while concurrently serving in Artillery and Judge Advocate General units of the United States Army Reserve.
Before pursuing a career in film, Logan worked various jobs to pay his tuition, including working on his family's Christmas tree farm, serving as a janitorial assistant, shipping and receiving clerk, rake and shovel man, food runner, and night bellman.
Logan initially chose a career in law, serving as a law intern in the Law Department of the City of Cleveland and later as an attorney in the Antitrust Division of the United States Department of Justice, The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, Goodyear Atomic Corporation, and in private practice. He retired in 1987 to become a world-class weaver, artist, writer, and web designer.
Logan's entry into acting began when he was hired as a precision driver for the film Spider-Man 3. He was hooked and has since done background work in major studio films, including I Am Legend, Taking Chance, Real Steel, Oz the Great and Powerful, Gotham, Mr. Robot, Billions, White Boy Rick, Judas and the Black Messiah, and White Noise.
Logan has also appeared in regional independent films, including Death of the Dead, 25 Hill, and Revenge of the Spacemen. He has directed and produced his own films, including short and micro-short films like Gimme Head: the Tale of the Cuyahoga Valley Bigfoot, Ro-Boob: The Farting Robot Monster, and The Last Man on Earth.
Logan's films have screened in numerous countries and continents, and he has traveled extensively to be with his fans. He cites outsider and trashfilm directors like Don Dohler as primary inspirations and emphasizes the importance of making films that are "funny and weird."
