Lonnie Chavis, a talented young actor, was born in Southern California. At the tender age of four, Lonnie's fascination with the world of acting began to take shape, as he would point to the television and declare to his mother that he wanted to go "there". This early interest in the craft was nurtured by his mother, who started submitting him for modeling and commercial opportunities when he was just six years old.
It was during this time that Lonnie was discovered by a theatrical agent, and his passion for acting began to flourish as he started auditioning for television and film roles. By the time he was nine years old, Lonnie had already landed his first recurring role on NBC's hit dramedy series, This Is Us, starring Mandy Moore, Milo Ventimiglia, and Sterling K. Brown.
In his role as '9-year-old Randall', Lonnie plays the younger version of Emmy Award-winning actor, Sterling K. Brown, bringing a youthful energy to the character. This breakout role has undoubtedly marked a significant milestone in Lonnie's burgeoning career.
In addition to his work on This Is Us, Lonnie has also been involved in other projects, including a pilot for Showtime titled White Famous, executive produced by the legendary Jamie Foxx. In this role, Lonnie plays the bright and appealing young son of Floyd, played by comedian Jay Pharaoh.
Looking ahead, Lonnie will be appearing in the Disney feature film, Magic Camp, starring Adam Devine and Jeffrey Tambor, where he will play the role of Young Cameron.
When he's not busy with his acting career, Lonnie enjoys a variety of hobbies, including swimming, playing video games, and working on his dance skills. He resides in Long Beach, CA with his parents and two younger brothers.
