Lori Saunders, a striking brunette, was born Linda Marie Hines on October 4, 1941, in Kansas City, Missouri.
She began her professional career at the age of 19 in 1960 with multiple episodes of The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet.
Lori studied under acting coach Jeff Corey and adopted the stage name "Linda Saunders".
She became a popular presence, pitching over 100 commercial products on TV and earning film parts in minor fare such as The Girls on the Beach, Mara of the Wilderness, and Blood Bath.
Finding occasional work on established series like Burke's Law, Lori hit pay dirt in 1965 when she replaced actress Pat Woodell on Petticoat Junction as one of the Bradley daughters.
Lori changed her marquee name to avoid confusion with the other "Linda" on the show, Linda Henning.
During her time on Petticoat Junction, Lori, Linda, and Meredith MacRae formed a singing trio, billing themselves as "The Girls from Petticoat Junction".
The trio sang on the show as the "Hooterville Honeys" and occasionally performed at nightclubs and fairs, as well as on Johnny Carson's late night show.
Following her TV peak, Lori continued to find acting work elsewhere, on shows like Daniel Boone, The Courtship of Eddie's Father, and Dusty's Trail.
She played sweet "Betsy McGuire" for 26 episodes on Dusty's Trail, which co-starred Bob Denver and Forrest Tucker.
After attempting to shake up her wholesome image with leading roles in minor film fare, Lori retired from acting following her appearance in the low-budget sci-fi film Captive in 1980.
Married since 1961 to Bernard Sandler, Lori has two children, Ronald and Stacy, and has focused on photography, sculpture, and painting.
She is also a vegan, an avid outdoors person, and involved in charities as an advocate for child and animal rights.
