Lorraine Toussaint is a talented actress, born in Trinidad, who has made a significant impact in the entertainment industry. She moved to Brooklyn, New York with her mother at the age of 10 and grew up watching television, which sparked her interest in acting. Toussaint's mother eventually enrolled her in acting school, where she studied theater at the prestigious High School of Performing Arts. She then went on to graduate from the Juilliard School's drama division with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree.
Toussaint began her career on stage in New York City, performing in various productions for 12 years before moving to Los Angeles. Her breakthrough role came when she co-starred alongside Annie Potts in the TV series "Any Day Now," earning her several award nominations, including an NAACP Image Award nomination for best actress in a drama series.
