Luis Bordonada is a multifaceted American actor with a rich background in the entertainment industry. Following his high school graduation, he took a bold step by enrolling in the U.S Army, where he served as a paratrooper in the esteemed 82nd Airborne Division.
Upon completing his military service, Luis embarked on a theatre education journey under the tutelage of renowned expert Prof. Hector Serrano, founder of Viva El Paso and Shakespeare on The Rocks Theater Festival. This formative experience laid the foundation for his future success in the world of acting.
Luis's breakthrough in film came with the collaboration of the Hughes Brothers on their acclaimed project, The Book of Eli. Concurrently, he secured the lead role in the award-winning independent film, Ilegales (Illegal),for which he received a prestigious Best Actor Award at the Naperville Independent Film Festival in Chicago.
Throughout his career, Luis has demonstrated his versatility by taking on recurring roles in prominent television series such as FX's The Bridge, AMC's Better Call Saul, and A&E's Longmire. His most recent critically acclaimed performance was as Nelson Herrera in the Starz series Vida, where he shared the screen with talented actors Melissa Barrera, Jackie Cruz, and Jorge Garcia.
