Luke Bilyk is an actor whose career is rapidly gaining momentum, with a wide range of roles in film and television to his credit. Born in North York, Ontario, he is the youngest of four children, with a diverse ancestry that includes Italian, Ukrainian, and German heritage.
Luke's passion for acting began at the tender age of five, and it wasn't long before he landed his breakout role as Drew Torres on the iconic television series Degrassi: The Next Generation. He quickly became a fan favorite, starring in the show for an impressive five seasons.
After leaving Degrassi, Luke joined the cast of the Emmy Award-winning Canadian sci-fi series Lost Girl, playing a series regular in their second season. He then went on to appear in a string of successful films, including the Sundance-selected Hellions, Holiday Joy, Kiss and Cry, F The Prom, The Marijuana Conspiracy, and Black Conflux, which was selected for the Toronto International Film Festival's Top Ten.
In addition to his film work, Luke has also made a name for himself on television, appearing in hit shows such as the half-hour teen comedy series Raising Expectations, alongside Molly Ringwald and Jason Priestley, the CW's Legends Of Tomorrow, CityTv's buddy cop comedy Hudson And Rex, and the FX-acclaimed mini-series A Teacher.
But Luke's interests don't stop at acting. He has also co-produced three short films, and has used his platform to support the world-renowned organization Free The Children. He has traveled to India, Haiti, and Nicaragua, where he has aided in building schools and assisting with the construction of water filtration systems in economically challenged regions.
With multiple projects in development, Luke is continuing to pursue his passion for acting, and is striving towards a future in both film and television.
