Marc Pickering's acting journey began at the tender age of eight, when he landed his first role as the Artful Dodger in a community playhouse production of "Oliver Twist" in Garforth, Leeds. This marked the start of a long-standing relationship with St Mary's Youth Theatre, where he appeared in numerous productions, including "Jesus Christ Superstar," "West Side Story," and "Chicago."
In addition to his work with the amateur company, Marc was also a member of the Northern Theatre Company in Hull, where he honed his skills in jazz and tap. He continued to take part in shows such as "Rocky Horror Show," "The King and I," "Little Shop of Horrors," and "Oklahoma," solidifying his experience in the theatre.
At the age of ten, Marc joined the National Youth Music Theatre, a prestigious organization that allowed him to travel to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival every year for four years. During his time with NYMT, he performed in shows such as "Tin Pan Ali," "The Ragged Child," "Wizard of Oz," and "Bugsy Malone," which ultimately transferred to the Queens Theatre in London, marking Marc's West End debut.
Marc's success with NYMT led to him being offered the role of Young Masbath in the film "Sleepy Hollow," alongside Johnny Depp and Tim Burton. The producers of the film got in touch with ICM, who have been Marc's agents for eight years. After completing his GCSEs, Marc returned to school and continued to perform for the Northern Theatre company.
He then attended college, where he filmed "Calendar Girls" and "The Queen of Sheba's Pearls." Marc later went on to study at the Guildford School of Acting, graduating in July 2006. Since then, he has continued to perform in television, film, and stage productions, solidifying his position as a talented and accomplished actor.
