Marc's early life was marked by a profound influence, courtesy of his father's decision to take him to a production of William Shakespeare's "Richard III" starring Sir Laurence Olivier when he was just a boy. This experience left a lasting impression on him, although he didn't initially pursue acting himself until his junior year of high school, when a teacher recruited him to fill a suddenly vacant role.
As the son of musicians, Marc acknowledges that performing is indeed in his blood. Out of his four siblings, only his oldest brother Claude is not a performer. The three brothers, Marc included, were known to be quite the handful, while his sister Lori Singer, with whom he remains very close, held her own as an amazing individual.
Born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Marc spent his early years in New York, Corpus Christi, Texas, and Oregon before attending college in the Midwest and Washington state. He has fond memories of his childhood, which he believes has instilled in him a sense of gratitude for the experiences he's had in each of the cities he's lived in.
In Seattle, Marc met his future wife, the talented Hawaiian actress Haunani Minn. Together, they enjoyed a laid-back California lifestyle, and Marc still finds time to indulge in various hobbies, including running, sailing, martial arts, boxing, skiing, and motorcycling, as well as playing Western classical piano every day.
Sadly, Haunani Minn passed away on November 23, 2014, in Studio City, California.
