Marguerite MacIntyre received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Southern California, followed by training at the prestigious Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London.
Throughout her illustrious career, she has worked on and off Broadway, regionally, and in television and film. Her Broadway debut was in "City of Angels", directed by Michael Blakemore, where she played the roles of Avril/Mallory.
Marguerite has also had the privilege of originating roles in numerous productions, including Bertha Mason/Scatcherd in "Jane Eyre", directed by John Caird, Sarah Stone in the adaptation of William Goldman's "No Way To Treat A Lady", directed by Scott Schwartz, Delphi in Alan Menken's "Weird Romance", and Grace Farrell in "Annie Warbucks", directed by Martin Charnin.
Her extensive regional credits include performances at the Papermill Playhouse, La Jolla Playhouse, Barrington Stage, Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Scottsdale Center for the Arts, and the Godspeed Opera House. In Los Angeles, she has performed at the Pantages, Joe Stern's Matrix Theater, Garry Marshall's Falcon Theater, and twice for the Reprise Series at the Freud Playhouse, including her third time working with idol, Larry Gelbart.
Marguerite has also made her mark in the world of television, making her prime time debut as a guest star in the sixth season opener of Seinfeld, followed by guest appearances on Bones, The Mentalist, CSI: Miami, CSI: NY, and numerous others. She has also recurred on The Shield, playing opposite Michael Chiklis, and starred as series regular Abby Day on John Scott Shepherd's dramedy, The Days, for ABC.
Her notable recurring role was as Nicole Trager on ABC Family's TCA award-winning sci-fi drama, Kyle XY, followed by three seasons starring as Sheriff Liz Forbes on the CW hit, The Vampire Diaries.
In addition to her acting career, Marguerite has also ventured into writing, penning a twenty-part web series, Pretty Tough, adapted from the novel by Liz Tigelaar, produced by Vuguru Media and directed by Stewart Hendler. She has also recently inked a deal to write a feature film, @emma, for Darko Entertainment, and produced by "The Vampire Diaries" creator, Julie Plec.
