María Fernanda Yepes Alzate, a talented actress and model, was born on December 23, 1980, in Medellín, Colombia. She began her career as a model at the tender age of 14, participating in both national and international campaigns, including the popular swimwear brand "Agua Bendita," which was featured in the Sports Illustrated editions of 2007, 2008, and 2009.
In pursuit of a well-rounded education, María Fernanda studied psychology and social communication at the Pontifical Bolivarian University, later enrolling in acting school at Caracol Televisión. Her passion for the arts led her to study theater in Barcelona, Spain, and to improve her English in Australia.
María Fernanda made her acting debut in the telenovela La Diva in 2006, but it was her role as Yésica Franco "La Diabla" in Sin senos no hay paraíso (2008–2009) that gained her international fame. In 2010, she starred in Rosario Tijeras, a performance that earned her the India Catalina Award for Best Lead Actress in a Series. She has since participated in numerous TV productions, including La Teniente (2012),La Piloto (2017),José José: El príncipe de la canción (2018),and Oscuro deseo (Dark Desire, 2020).
On the big screen, María Fernanda starred in the 2023 film Línea de tiempo. Beyond her artistic career, she is the founder of Casa Felina, a project based in Quintana Roo, Mexico, that promotes respect and love for nature.
