Mark's upbringing in a military family endowed him with an extraordinary aptitude for navigating uncharted territories and adapting swiftly to novel environments. Born in Chicago, his formative years were spent in the Boston area, before being relocated to New Orleans, where he developed a strong affinity for the local dialects and fostered profound connections with the surrounding communities.
During his studies in acting and filmmaking at the University of New Orleans, Mark discovered a natural flair for picking up local accents and developing strong bonds with the local communities. His diverse work experiences as a short-order cook, forklift operator, sanitation worker, and a stint in the local oil, fishing, and shrimping industry instilled in him a blue-collar sensibility that would later become the hallmark of many of the roles he was offered upon moving to Los Angeles.
Not long after his relocation to LA, Mark embarked on a 25-year career in law enforcement, working exclusively in the jail system. Throughout this period, he continued to pursue his passion for acting, appearing in numerous network and cable episodic series, short films, and an increasing body of feature film work.
Mark finds solace in the camaraderie that arises from being on stage or a film set, and his passion for film and its creative process is matched only by his love for serving others in disaster relief, set photography, and his deep affection for his family and his beautiful wife of 28 years.
