Biography

Mark Lainer is a talented individual with a diverse background. Born in Worcester, Massachusetts, he attended Worcester Academy and later graduated magna cum laude from Amherst College with a degree in Neuroscience.

Before pursuing a career in acting, Mark worked as a bookkeeper and accountant, and even interned as a research biologist for the Upjohn Pharmaceutical Company. During a six-month trip to East Africa, he volunteered as a technician at a village hospital and taught bookkeeping and accounting at a small technical college in Kilifi, Kenya.

Mark's passion for acting was ignited during his junior high school years, and he eventually moved to New York City to pursue his dream. He performed in numerous stage productions, as well as TV and commercials, and trained as an improviser and writer with Groundlings East.

As a founding member of the Who What and Warehouse Improv Company, Mark performed at Disney's Comedy Warehouse on Pleasure Island and later at various venues at Walt Disney World and Universal Studios Florida. He has also written, directed, and performed in corporate events around the world for companies such as Walt Disney World, Ford Motor Company, and Ernst & Young.

In addition to his corporate work, Mark has performed in numerous theater productions in Central Florida, Los Angeles, and Massachusetts. He has also appeared in various films, including the Disney/20th Century People's Choice Award-winning hit film "Free Guy" and the Academy Award and Emmy Award-winning student film "Slow Dancin' Down the Aisles of the Quick Check."

On television, Mark has had recurring roles in shows such as "Bones," "The Glades," "Burn Notice," and "Graceland." He has also appeared in episodes of "FBI," "The Cape," and "From the Earth to the Moon," among others.

Mark is currently based in the Northeast US and is represented theatrically in NY and the Southeast by The Lisa Lax Agency, commercially in NY by Ingber Associates, and commercially and theatrically in New England by Model Club.
