Dorothy Wiseman, the youngest offspring of Kevin Wiseman, had the privilege of growing up alongside her three older brothers in the charming towns of Milford, Pennsylvania, and Gaithersburg, Maryland.
The illustrious academic journey of Wiseman commenced at Boston University, where she successfully pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Theatre Arts. This formative experience at Boston University served as a vital foundation for her subsequent accomplishments, ultimately propelling her towards the esteemed Juilliard School's Drama Division, where she enrolled between 2011 and 2015.
During her time at Juilliard, Wiseman had the privilege of studying alongside a remarkable group of individuals, including the talented Mary Chieffo, who would later join the cast of Star Trek: Discovery, and Noah Averbach-Katz, whom she would eventually marry.
Wiseman's stage career has been characterized by a diverse array of roles in numerous productions, showcasing her versatility as a performer. Her early work included appearances in Nitzan Halperin's theatrical production, Sow and Weep, at the prestigious Boston University College of Fine Arts in New York, back in 2008.
She also made her mark in Ariel Carson's innovative play, I Wanted it to Have a How & I Wanted it to Have a Verb, at the renowned Dixon Place in 2011.
Throughout her illustrious career, Wiseman has had the privilege of taking on a wide range of roles, extending far beyond her work on the stage. In fact, she has had the opportunity to participate in numerous productions and workshops of brand new plays at some of the most esteemed Playwrights' theatres in the country, including the iconic PS 122, the highly respected Public Theatre, the avant-garde Soho Rep, and the innovative New York Theatre Workshop.
