Biography

Mathew Lorenceau's life was shaped by his early experiences growing up in Paris, France, where his mother, Catherine, instilled in him a passion for sports such as horsebackriding, swimming, skiing, and tennis. However, it was not until he was twelve years old, inspired by the movie "Karate Kid", that he discovered Martial Arts, earning a 3rd Degree Black Belt and achieving success in both fights and forms.

As the son of renowned movie critic Michel Delahaye, Mathew was introduced to the world of cinema at a young age. He admired legendary filmmakers like Charlie Chaplin, The Marx Brothers, Laurel and Hardy, Jacques Tati, Kirk Douglas, Clint Eastwood, Charlton Heston, Burt Lancaster, Errol Flynn, James Dean, Gene Kelly, and many other film icons, which fueled his aspiration to become an actor. His exposure to the film industry also included acting in student films alongside his father, who was teaching at l'HIDEC, also known as la FEMIS Film School.

At the age of twenty, Mathew pursued acting at the prestigious "Actorat Vuillin" in Paris, performing in Edmond Rostand's play "Cyrano de Bergerac", which marked the beginning of his on-screen journey with the television show "Highlander".

Mathew's friendship with fellow stuntman, acrobat, circus performer, parkour, and martial artist Cyril Raffaelli, whom he met through stunt training, lasted a lifetime. In 1996, he chose to move to Hollywood, California, to pursue his dream.

In 2002, Mathew met his younger cousin, Fabrice Lorenceau, who was studying at USC to become a producer. In 2005, he was hired as a stuntman on the remake of "Poseidon", directed by Wolfgang Petersen, by famed Stunt Coordinator Doug Coleman.

In 2009, Mathew was hired by the Brand X Action Specialists Keith Woulard & Tom R Harper to perform stunts on "Iron Man 2", in which he was given the opportunity to deliver lines to Oscar nominee Mickey Rourke.

Throughout his career, Mathew has been driven by his passion for Martial Arts, his admiration for the film industry, and his desire to become an actor.
