Matt Landers, a distinguished alumnus of Notre Dame High School, commenced his professional acting career in 1969 at the renowned Surflight Summer Theater in Beach Haven, New Jersey. Subsequently, he pursued his passion for the performing arts by studying at the prestigious Boston Conservatory of Music. His impressive stage debut occurred at the Wilbur Theater in Boston, where he portrayed the iconic role of Jesus in the celebrated production of "Godspell". This marked his first Equity performance, solidifying his reputation as a talented young actor.
Matt's Broadway debut was a resounding success, as he took on the role of Sonny in the iconic musical "Grease" at the Royale Theater. His outstanding performance earned him a nomination for a New York Drama Desk Award for his portrayal in Studs Terkel's "Working" in 1982.
In Hollywood, Matt has enjoyed a prolific career, starring in numerous television shows and making a lasting impression as Pinkerton in "The George Carlin Show" in 1994. His impressive filmography includes notable roles in "48 Hrs." (1982),"Die Hard" (1988),"Down Periscope" (1996),and the Academy Award-winning Best Live Action Short, "Ray's Male Heterosexual Dance Hall" (1987).
