Matthew's formative years were spent in Houston, Texas, but his childhood was shaped by his experiences in the small town of Fredericksburg, where he developed a passion for theater and sports, earning him the nickname "thespian jock" among his peers.
As he entered middle and high school, Matthew's dual interests continued to flourish, with him staying actively involved in both theater and sports, showcasing his versatility and range.
Upon matriculating to college, Matthew pursued his passion for acting, majoring in theater at Texas State University, where he was an integral part of the university's theater department, participating in numerous productions and productions.
Notably, Matthew also became deeply involved in Greek life on campus, forging strong bonds with his fellow thespians, who affectionately referred to him as "Frat Matt" whenever he was around.
In 2006, Matthew made the bold decision to relocate to Los Angeles, driven by his ambition to establish a career in acting, while also seeking opportunities to work with various indie production companies.
During this period, Matthew discovered a natural affinity for producing, which ultimately led him to co-found his own production company, alongside Christian Sosa and Tyler Glodt, in 2008.
Since then, Matthew has had the privilege of starring in several indie features, shorts, and commercials, while his company has produced a feature film, "The Eves," as well as numerous other shorts, solidifying his position as a talented and accomplished producer and actor.
