Matthew Underwood, a native Floridian, was born and raised in the Sunshine State, where he discovered his innate passion for entertaining at the tender age of eight. This early spark led him to embark on a career in the entertainment industry, commencing with rigorous training in Orlando, Florida, where he showcased his talents to thousands of spectators.
Subsequently, Matthew relocated to Miami, Florida, where he was represented by The Green Agency, and began to hone his craft by appearing in various commercials and television pilots. Some of his notable roles include "Kids Line," a news reporting program designed for today's youth, and "E-Venture Kids," an educational program aimed at teaching children about the cultures of societies abroad.
During his early years, Matthew developed a profound interest in extreme sports, which he continues to pursue to this day. His extensive repertoire includes barefoot water skiing, wakeboarding, kite surfing, para-sailing, skateboarding, and surfing, as well as more recent endeavors such as skydiving, windsurfing, rock climbing, and B.A.S.E. jumping.
As Matthew's career progressed, he made the decision to relocate to Los Angeles to further his acting career. His breakthrough role came when he was cast as the egotistical, sexist, and hot guy "Logan Reese" in the worldwide kid's show "Zoey 101" (2005). Matthew's portrayal of this character earned him widespread recognition, and he went on to star in the show for four years, captivating audiences in 90 countries around the globe.
Throughout his career, Matthew has used his platform to educate young minds on a range of subjects, including art programs in schools and environmental conservation. He has also been actively involved in philanthropic efforts, traveling the world to help build homes for those in need and provide school and medical supplies to underserved communities.
In addition to his on-screen work, Matthew has lent his voice to several animated projects, including "Casper's Scare School" (2006),in which he played the role of the animated vampire "Thatch," and "Avatar: The Last Airbender" (2005),where he voiced the character of "Hide," a thuggish Firebender.
