Max's professional career has been marked by a diverse range of projects, all of which have been financed or distributed by notable entities in the industry. These include Netflix, Bron Studios, Telefilm Canada, Ontario Media Development Corp, Hallmark, Lifetime, Tubi, CBC TV, UPtv, Canada Council for the Arts, the Harold Greenberg Fund, and numerous international distributors.
One of Max's most personal projects to date is Foreverland, a film that holds a special place in his heart due to its connection to his own life. Produced by Bron Studios and Screen Siren Media, Foreverland was distributed theatrically by Eone and screened around the world, raising over $250,000 for Cystic Fibrosis, a cause that Max is deeply passionate about, as he himself suffers from the disease. The film boasts an impressive cast, featuring Max Thieriot, Laurence Leboeuf, and Oscar nominees Juliette Lewis and Demian Bichir, alongside Sarah Wayne Callies, Matt Frewer, and Thomas Dekker.
Since then, Max has gone on to direct a wide range of projects, including thrillers, romantic comedies, and Christmas movies, all of which have been well-received by audiences and critics alike. His work has garnered top ratings, including Midnight at the Magnolia, a TV movie that was nominated for a CSA award for Best TV Movie and starred Natalie Hall and Evan Williams for Netflix. The film spent weeks as a TOP 10 most-watched movie worldwide.
Max is currently actively developing Wounded, a wilderness survival thriller that has already generated significant interest in the industry. The project was invited to the International Film Finance Forum at TIFF and the IFP No Borders Market in New York, and boasts development funding from the OMDC and Telefilm Canada.
