Maxine Bahns, a multifaceted individual, was born in 1971 in the picturesque state of Vermont, to a German-American father and a Chinese-Brazilian mother. At the tender age of 16, she bid farewell to her hometown and embarked on a journey of self-discovery, traversing the vibrant cities of Barcelona, Valencia, Paris, and Rome.
Upon her return to New York, Maxine enrolled at New York University, where she majored in Latin and Greek language and literature, while also nurturing her passion for acting by attending classes at Three Arts Studios. This is where she caught the attention of Edward Burns, who cast her as the female lead opposite himself in his 1995 film, The Brothers McMullen.
As her acting career progressed, Maxine appeared in a string of low-budget independent films, including She's the One (1996),Dangerous Curves (2000),Cutaway (2000),Vice (2000),and Spin Cycle (2000). Her versatility as an actress was evident in her ability to seamlessly transition between various roles.
In 2001, Maxine relocated to Los Angeles, where she discovered a new passion - triathlons. She went on to compete in the prestigious Hawaii Ironman Championships, as well as numerous other triathlons, including the Wildflower 1/2 Ironman and the Keauhou 1/2 Ironman. Her remarkable achievements in the world of triathlons have earned her recognition on the covers of prominent publications such as Runner's World, Triathlete Magazine, and Fit magazine.
