Maxwell Jacob Friedman, also known as MJF, is an American professional wrestler currently signed to All Elite Wrestling (AEW). He has previously worked for Major League Wrestling (MLW) and Combat Zone Wrestling (CZW).
MJF began his professional wrestling career in 2015, training under Brian Myers and Pat Buck at the Create A Pro Wrestling Academy in Hicksville, New York. He made his in-ring debut in February 2015 and went on to appear in numerous promotions across the northeastern independent wrestling circuit.
In 2015, MJF debuted in Create A Pro Wrestling Academy (CAP) under the ring name Maxwell Jacob Feinstein. He competed in various matches, including a CAP Championship Tournament, where he advanced to the quarterfinals before being eliminated by Tony Nese.
MJF also wrestled for Five Borough Wrestling (FBW) in 2015 and 2016, competing in a 30-Man Rumble match and winning a five-way dark match. He returned to FBW in 2017, losing to Papadon at the 3 Year Anniversary Show.
In 2015, MJF debuted in Combat Zone Wrestling (CZW) under the ring name Pete Lightning, teaming with Hous Blazer in a tag match. He later formed a tag team called Business Casual with Blazer and went on to compete in many more tag matches throughout 2016.
MJF won his first title in CZW, the Wired Championship, in May 2017 by defeating Johnny Yuma. He successfully defended the title in several singles matches before losing it to Joey Janela in October. He won the title back in December and went on to become the last Wired Champion before vacating the title in April 2018.
MJF debuted in Major League Wrestling (MLW) in October 2017, defeating Jimmy Yuta. He went on to compete in several matches, including a MLW World Heavyweight Championship Tournament, before being eliminated in the first round by Jimmy Havoc.
In 2018, MJF signed with All Elite Wrestling (AEW) and made his debut on May 25, 2019, during the pre-show of the AEW Double Or Nothing event. He competed in a 21-Man Casino Battle Royale won by Adam Page.
MJF is known for his charismatic personality, technical grappling skills, and ability to connect with the crowd. He is considered one of the top up-and-coming stars in professional wrestling today.
