Meg Donnelly is poised to make a significant impact in the entertainment industry, thanks to her impressive comedic timing, innate musical abilities, and the refreshing, free-spirited energy she brings to every project she is involved in.
She can be seen starring on ABC's hit comedy series "American Housewife," where she plays the role of Taylor, the eldest child of Katie Otto, a strong-willed mother struggling to raise her flawed family in a wealthy town filled with perfect wives and their impeccable offspring. The show is now in its fourth season.
On the film front, Donnelly has starred in the Disney Channel Original Movie "Zombies," a musical that follows a semester at Seabrook High School, where students from Zombietown are integrated into the school, changing all of their past customs and beliefs. The film premiered on February 16, 2018, to record-breaking viewership, and its sequel, "Zombies 2," debuted on February 14, 2020.
Donnelly has also appeared in the indie drama "The Broken Ones" (AMK Films),which premiered at the 2017 Soho International Film Festival in New York City.
Born in New York City and raised in Peapack, New Jersey, Donnelly began her career in the entertainment industry through commercial and print work, as well as music. At the age of six, she started training in voice, dance, and acting at Annie's Playhouse - School of Performing Arts in Far Hills, New Jersey.
As a natural-born performer, she was drawn to the stage and quickly became the youngest performer in the APX Conservatory, a singing and dancing group that performed in various venues throughout New Jersey. At the age of 11, she landed her first series regular role on Netflix's "Team Toon," starring as Ash, one of four kid-creators of an animated online series called "Psycho Squirrel."
Donnelly has also appeared on ABC's top-rated series "What Would You Do?" and was an understudy for the role of Louisa in the NBC television special "The Sound of Music Live!" She was also a featured soloist in the 54 Below production of "Von Trapp Children: from Sound of Music, Live."
In addition to her work in the entertainment industry, Donnelly has been named Radio Disney's Next Big Thing and has performed alongside notable artists such as Steve Aoki, Avril Lavigne, and Alessia Cara. Her debut album "trust," which was released on December 6, 2019, features tracks with KOTA The Friend and 2 Milly.
When she is not on set or touring, Donnelly continues to learn and practice the Japanese language.
