Mehcad Brooks is an award-winning actor, writer, and producer known for his raw and refined talent, charisma, and moving presence in the entertainment industry.
He is starring as Jackson 'Jax' Briggs in the action-adventure feature film "Mortal Kombat" based on the iconic video game series, which has sold over 49 million copies worldwide.
In film, Mehcad has starred in Netflix's most watched thriller of 2020, "A Fall From Grace", as well as "Nobody's Fool" opposite Tika Sumpter, Tiffany Haddish, and Whoopi Goldberg. His other film credits include "In the Valley of Elah", "Glory Road", "Just Wright", "About Last Night", and "Supergirl".
On television, Mehcad played James "The Guardian" Olsen in the DC Comic superhero series "Supergirl" opposite Melissa Benoist. He landed his first big break in television in 2005, securing the role of Matthew Applewhite on the award-winning series "Desperate Housewives" for ABC.
