Mehcad Brooks is an award-winning actor, writer, and producer known for his raw and refined talent, charisma, and moving presence in the entertainment industry.
He is starring as Jackson 'Jax' Briggs in the action-adventure feature film "Mortal Kombat" based on the iconic video game series, which has sold over 49 million copies worldwide.

Born and raised in Austin, Texas, Mehcad grew up excelling at academics and sports, becoming an all-state basketball player. He decided to attend the University of Southern California to study at their School of Cinematic Arts and has since appeared in numerous TV shows and films.
