Biography

Michael's journey began in the culturally rich and dynamic city of Detroit, Michigan, where his family was deeply entrenched in a trifecta of community service, politics, and the arts. As a youngster, he would frequently sneak glimpses of rehearsals and performances from the wings of the esteemed Detroit Music Hall, thereby cultivating a profound and abiding passion for the performing arts that would only continue to flourish and intensify with time.

Finally, Michael had the privilege of working with the renowned acting coach Susan Batson in New York City, an experience that no doubt had a profound impact on his development as an artist.

Michael's most prominent and distinguished projects is his solo performance, An Adam Experiment, which narrates the remarkable and uplifting tale of Adam Clayton Powell Jr., a captivating and dynamic Congressman and Pastor from Harlem who devoted his life to combating inequality and segregation for an astonishing period of over four decades.
