Michael Edens, a renowned writer and story editor, was born in Portland, Tennessee, in the year 1951, and spent his formative years in the Nashville area. He went on to earn a Master's degree in Modern British History from the University of Tennessee in 1978.
In the mid-1980s, while residing in Knoxville, Tennessee, Edens began his professional writing career, venturing into the world of television animation. His early work included contributing to popular shows such as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Tailspin, and The Real Ghostbusters.
In 1990, Edens made the move to Los Angeles, where he continued to hone his craft, working on a plethora of notable series, including Beetlejuice, X-Men: The Animated Series, Exosquad, Wing Commander Academy, Mummies Alive, and Young Hercules.
Throughout his illustrious career, Edens has created an impressive 200 hours of animated and live-action entertainment for major studios such as Disney, Universal, Warner Brothers, and Sony. His tireless efforts have earned him a reputation as a masterful writer and story editor.
On a personal note, Edens has been married to his loving wife, Cindy Lietzke Edens, since October 1, 1983. Together, they have two beautiful children.
