Michael Blake, the son of notable character Larry J. Blake, embarked on his acting career at a remarkably young age of two, initially gaining experience by appearing in various television commercials. As he grew older, he transitioned into television roles, showcasing his talent in esteemed shows such as Adam-12, The Lucy Show, Marcus Welby, M.D., Bonanza, and Kung Fu.
At the tender age of ten, Michael's fascination with silent film actor Lon Chaney was ignited when he stayed up late to watch a screening of Man of a Thousand Faces (1957). This encounter sparked a lifelong interest in Chaney and makeup, ultimately leading him to acquire his own makeup kit.
In 1978, a serendipitous encounter with the head of the makeup department at Universal Studios led Michael to make a career switch at the age of twenty-two, becoming one of the youngest makeup artists in the industry at the time. He spent the next three years at Universal until the makeup department was unfortunately closed. Since then, Michael has been freelancing on numerous films and television shows, honing his craft and establishing himself as a talented makeup artist.
