Michael Gomes, a native of Santa Cruz, California, spent his formative years in a small town that fostered his appreciation for the diverse community. As a young boy, he developed a passion for acting, initially performing in school plays and creating his own VHS videos with friends. These early creative endeavors continued into his high school years, where he not only honed his acting skills but also discovered a talent for music, joining a rock band and taking up the drums.
As he prepared for university, Michael attended Cabrillo Jr. College, focusing on science and mathematics, which provided a solid foundation for his future studies. He then transferred to Chico State University, where he pursued a degree in geology and became an integral part of the university's rugby team. In his free time, he took an elective acting course, which would ultimately change the trajectory of his life.
Under the guidance of Sue Hargrave Pate, Michael immersed himself in challenging acting assignments, which pushed him to perfect his craft. He went on to study improvisation and acting for the camera under Sarah Albertson, drawing inspiration from her background at the Yale School of Drama. As a dedicated actor, he secured lead roles in musicals and stage dramas, earning a reputation for his talent, reliability, and friendliness.
Michael's hard work and dedication led him to secure roles in national television, feature films, and other productions. When he's not in front of the camera, he enjoys producing films, practicing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, drumming, and engaging in self-discovery.
