Michael A. Hoffman, a Florida native, has had a multifaceted career in the entertainment industry, starting as a production assistant on numerous shoestring budgeted projects produced by cult icon Tim Ritter.
Hoffman's early work included Screaming for Sanity: Truth or Dare 3 (1998),Dirty Cop 2: I Am a Pig (2001),and Dirty Cop No Donut (1999),which allowed him to hone his filmmaking skills and lay the groundwork for producing his own no-budget features.
In 2001, Hoffman's first directorial effort, Scary Tales (2001),gained worldwide distribution, followed by a micro-budgeted sequel, Scary Tales: The Return of Mr. Longfellow (2003),which featured a large cast of popular horror film veterans.
The films received extensive screenings at various festivals, including Screamfest, Florida - 2005, The Rebel International Film Festival, Tennessee - 2005, and Dark Xmas, Ohio - 2005, with Scary Tales 2 winning best feature at the latter.
In 2005, Hoffman transitioned to working on larger-scale productions, solidifying his status as a staple in independent film, commercials, music videos, and industrial productions.
He has since worked as a writer, production manager, DP/camera operator, editor, and director on various projects, including the documentary Rock and a Hard Place: Another Night at the Agora, featuring Johnny Depp, and the music video for D_Composure's "Faking the Deathwish".
Hoffman's extensive experience has also led to collaborations with renowned musicians, sound engineers, and music producers, allowing him to merge his love of music with his filmmaking skills.
In 2008, he partnered with Bongiovi Entertainment, a Florida-based entertainment and technology company, which provided him with a studio where he can edit, produce, and oversee productions from conception to completion, utilizing the latest HD advancements.
This partnership has enabled Hoffman to work on high-end orchestral scores, master edits, and sound mixes, offering independent filmmakers and advertising companies access to top-notch services under one roof.
Hoffman's latest endeavor is heading the internet ad campaign for the KDS-100 radio from JVC, invented by legendary music producer Tony Bongiovi, which has been promoted across multiple platforms, from Las Vegas to Detroit.
